Find Dynamics 365 Business Central partners

Business Central has the largest partner channel in the mid-market — thousands of Microsoft partners resell and implement it. That breadth means excellent partners exist for every vertical, and so do bad ones. Industry add-on (ISV) experience is the main differentiator: most BC projects live or die on the vertical extension, not the core product.

Questions to ask every firm

  • 1.Which ISV add-ons do you recommend for our industry, and how many times have you deployed them?
  • 2.How do you handle Microsoft's twice-yearly release waves — who tests our customizations?
  • 3.How many implementations have you completed for organizations our size and industry — and can we call two of them?
  • 4.Who exactly will be on our project? Ask to meet the consultants, not just the sales team.
  • 5.What does a typical budget overrun look like on your projects, and what causes it?
  • 6.What happens after go-live — support model, response times, and hourly rates?

Red flags

  • Proposes custom development where a proven ISV extension exists
  • No dedicated support desk — the implementer answers tickets when free
  • Can't articulate the difference between Essentials and Premium licensing for your case

About partner tiers

Look for Microsoft Solutions Partner designation for Business Applications plus Inner Circle membership — the latter is limited to the top fraction of Dynamics partners globally.
